I feel for the brother, a week ago he was looking forward to Christmas with a loving mother and sister and now they are both gone. Tragic for him.

No, Lucas' first wife Marcia helped re-write a lot of the dialogue for Star Wars, then Lawrence Kasdan co-wrote Empire and Jedi. Carrie wouldn't have been experienced enough, she was only 19 when filming the first one.
For fans of her she did a one-man show called Wishful Drinking about 6/7 years ago, worth downloading if you can find it as I don't think it was shown over here, she had a great sense of humour.

One thing I didn't know about her was that she was a script doctor for Hollywood films.
Considering how painfully wooden George Lucas' scripts for the prequels were, and how charming the banter in the original series was, I wonder if she acted as an unofficial script doctor for the original series. She definitely had the charm and abrasive sense of humour for it.
